LUXEPORT
How do you elevate iPad charging and mounting?
In my role on the industrial design project for the LuxePort iPad Charging system at Dana Innovations, my objective was to revamp the charging solution for iPad cases used in corporate environments, hotels, and hospitals. The goal was to create a more efficient and user-friendly charging system. To achieve this, I conducted user research to understand the specific needs and pain points of the target users. Collaborating closely with mechanical engineering and product managers, I analyzed the previous product to identify areas for improvement, particularly optimizing the electronics. Human factors mockups and user interviews helped shape the design decisions, ensuring a seamless user experience. I utilized tools like Solidworks 3D CAD to create precise prototypes and Keyshot 3D visualization to present and refine the design concept. Through these efforts, my aim was to deliver a cutting-edge LuxePort iPad Charging system that meets the unique demands of corporate, hotel, and hospital environments.
